this picture fits my mental image of Oprah - intense. let it be known that i'm indifferent about Oprah. i once gave a speech in freshman college about how great O is. now, i'm just like "whatever".
the point of the post is this....i have learned some WEIRD things over the years from Oprah's show. for one, there was a couple who was on the show talking about working out a prenuptial agreement about things other than money. in fact, they wrote in their agreement that for every 10 mile increment of speed, they would be that number of car lengths away from the car in front of them (i.e. -70 mph, 7 cars away). JUST so they wouldn't argue about driving.
what weird things have YOU learned from O?

I've learned to not watch her show. Used to love her. Now can't stand her.
I agree with Quiet Oasis. My opinion of Oprah is a resounding "Eh."
You know, I too have a love/hate with Oprah, I really do... however I really feel that her shows are the cream of the crop... She doesn't bring her guests on to embarrass them, she is attempting to educate all of us. (I think.)
I've said it before and I'll say it again, this is where Oprah messed it up:
She used to claim she was "one of us", then she started wearing diamonds the size of quarters and hobnobbing with the rich and famous and became "one of them". We all saw the transformation and it saddened us and disillusioned us. She became less-relatable.
She should have learned a lesson from my Martha, who from the beginning has made it very clear that she is better than ALL of us. Martha has taught me to know my place. :) Lol.
I can respect that. ;)
