i'm frustrated with our world, of late. disappointed with our president's response to the thwarting of "liquids-exploding-planes" plot.
i'm confused at how the government and mass media seem to use every attempt of possible terror attacks to justify the 3+ year war ($300 billion spent) we've been fighting in Iraq. i support our troops and the bravery they have, but i do not support the fact that they are still fighting.
i'm confused at how it is stated that "islamic fascits are trying to impede our freedom".
let's get this straight...to my knowledge, london, indonesia, spain, and of course NYC have been struck by jihadists (supposedly). we are at war in Iraq...to stop al-Quaeda? troops continue to die, iraqi people continue to die. it's NOT just al-Quaeda anymore...it's hatred fueled inside normal-types of people...their plots discoverd in Miami, Ontario, Britian and all the other plots that our intelligence will not protect us from, for sure (and they will valiantly try to protect "our freedom", which i give them credit for).
i'm confused by what "my freedom" is and i can't wrap my brain around it.
i wanted to climb through the television and strangle a woman who thinks her freedom is $80 makeup. she was on t.v. - angry that she couldn't carry-on her makeup and she said, "since when can blush blow up a plane"?
well, first of all, ma'am - you don't look like the plotting terrorist or even the everyday chemist that would know the answer to that. i couldn't believe that in the midst of such chaos, she was worried about her $80 makeup.
my feeling is that of helplessness. wars can be fought all around the world, shampoos removed from carry-on luggage.....and still more terrorist plots and the FBI trying to stop them. the world takes all kinds of crazy to work i guess. even the type of crazy that says, "i choose to live life free of fear today".
