i like seafood. i can handle it. i always try to give shrimp a shot, and quite honestly i don't know why.
sorry, shrimp-lovers, read no further because the shrimp does NOT get any love from this point on.
what is the story with that little "vein" that runs up the back of the shrimp. has is not been called the "poop vein"? no? i'm sorry, but that just does me in. besides the fact that IT HAS EYES.
i can't do it. this is my solemn vow to quit giving shrimp a chance. forget it.

This is why eating all animals/fish can be tricky...
Ugh.
Will you still eat shrimp without the mud vein?
well.....i don't know. since the trauma is still fresh in my mind, i'm swearing to never eat any shrimp ever again. however, i know that in the future, when the memory fades, and someone suggests a sample of coconut shrimp, i will want it.
but, actually i usually like the little dipping sauce for the shrimp more than i like the shrimp. i'm the worst!!
I don't like cleaning shrimp; it is gross for sure. Cleaning chicken and cutting raw beef is also gross. Raw meat = gross. However, when you cook it, it is totally worth it. "Mud" vein is a really gross concept. I agree.
Yeah, I always get the pre-cooked pre deveined shrimp when I cook! I made the mistake of one time NOT getting that (becasue it was cheaper)and had to clean it myself. It turned me off shrimp for awhile! It will fade in time but for now I am sorry about that! ICK!
