i want to take this opportunity to point out something that i forget every year, until it rolls around and then i realize the fact that people use Halloween as an excuse to look as ridiculous as possible.
women generally like to make everything a bit more provocative than usual - a nurse, little red riding hood, a cowgirl, the pirate's booty, etc. men, however, like to wear things like mullets costumes that expose their chests and also this year was a really great year for Captain Jack Sparrow impersonators.
this year's most appalling costume (seen in public) was a trio of men who were wearing nothing but tightie-whitie underwear and socks. one had some material stuffed in the front of his briefs, one had toilet paper hanging out of his backside and the other had a very large, brown stain up and down the backside of the underwear.
i would LOVE to know if any one of them picked up any ladies for the evening (if that was, in fact, a goal of theirs).
all i could do was picture these 3 guys hanging out the week before, brainstorming about what costume they were going to wear, and then all three excitedly proclaiming, "THIS WILL BE AWESOME!!! WE WILL LOOK SO COOL!!"

One of the best parts about living in a college town are seeing their costums at halloween!
The girls will wear the skimpiest thing they have just to be as sexy as possible and guys, well they probably come up with their ideas when they are completly hammered!
It is still fun seeing everyones costums...there are some creative ones out there!

Sometimes I think it would be nice if people above the age of 12 were banned from dressing up for Halloween. :)

I think this year the best combo costume that can accomodate both genders is Dog the Bounty Hunter and his wife. Men get their mullets and women get to accentuate their bosoms. I saw this combo at the Boondogglers gig this weekend. It was a good one.
