did anyone else have to take the Myers-Briggs Indicator personality/type tests in high school or college?
i had to take it in college, and distinctly remember my type as ESFJ (extroverted, sensing, feeling, judging).
well, i retook it this week and am "now" an ENFP (extroverted, intuition, feeling, perceiving).
well, this changes everything. really.
it is quite insightful though and helpful in understanding personality preferences for yourself and can be applied to daily living, career, relationships, etc.

Funny you mention this. Mike and I JUST took this test for our pre-marriage counseling. We haven't got the results back yet but it's supposed to help us deal with conflict and better understand each other's personality.
I'm very interested to know my letters.
I have thaken the test twice in my life, age 15 and age 20, and the first time I scored exactly like my father... ESTP. The second time I score like my mother... INFJ. Every single letter changed for me. I think if I took the test again I would probebly have different results than the first two times.

I have taken this before and then took something similiar for our pre-marriage counseling. It is so interesting how much they match you and I think are very important in any type of relationship (even with family & friends)...at least to know how each person handles certain situations.
I could see them changing over time...but I think whatever your main personality traits are they will not really change.
We got our scores back last night. I am a IXFJ. Yeah, X. I was directly in the middle between the S and N so I guess X is the letter given in this instance. That's not even on the chart. Leave it to me.
Mike is ESTJ.
Very interesting and quite spot on as far as we're concerned.
