practical pointer

my friend over at Aimless Oasis blogged today about a fire-proof safe, and it reminded me about a really practical pointer i used to practice, and need to get back into the habit of.
a long time ago, i heard the idea where every so often, you take all the credit cards and items in your wallet and photocopy the front and the back of all of these items (make several copies and store at home, give to a close friend or relative when are traveling especially). this way, if you ever lose your wallet, you have all the 800-numbers in one place for quick retrieval of the numbers to call in an emergency.
practical, obvious, but easily forgotten!

That is a great idea! I heard people say put them in your phone when traveling. I NEVER will do that b/c the chances of me loosing my phone over my wallet are alot higher!

I like this idea....I think I will do it!
