a few more things to point out about the 18 year-olds who i work with.
as i was walking OUT the door to leave for vacation, one boy said, "enjoy the skymall magazine for me, i love that thing" and another girl (apparently assuming that Cabo is where you have lots of sex?) said, "Malissa, protect your goodies".
my goodies??
anyway, i returned to a HUGE poster on my office wall that said "welcome back to the united states" (remember, i missed 4 short days of work...no more, no less - and somehow this warranted a poster to greet me - i LOVE it).
some of my favorite quotes:
from a girl: "i missed you like a hungry man misses his waffles! heehee. i bet you lived the vida loca?? you crazy girl, i want to be you"
from a boy: "your absence was like a stab to my heart...it hurt so good. haha/jk/lol...i hope Cabo was amazing with all the cabana boys, coconuts and epic surf"
from a creative young lad: "dare mulisuh, i houpe yore treip wuz fab"
and there is a picture of me on the beach by a coconut tree with a sombrero on my head and my thought bubble includes the name of 2 students, virginia, and college. apparently that is what i was supposed to be thinking about while away.
