tell me you had to watch 12 minutes of world news each morning in middle and high school - courtesy of Channel 1?
i often wish today that when i get to work, i would have homeroom with 12 minutes of news...i would feel so much more up-to-date on the world.
those were the days of anderson cooper (before gray hair, but still oh-so-smart)

Oh yeah, we totally had to watch it. I secretly wanted to be on that show, even though I told all of my friends that I hated it too so I could be cool.
I agree with you, I wish we had something like that for the first 12 minutes of work. We'd all be better for it.
We never had this at our school :(
I was always jealous b/c the school one city over, our big rival school had it. Maybe that is why to this day I still don't like the news...they should get you early and make you watch!
I would also love that now!
We didn't have this channel either, we actually didn't have tv's in all of our rooms (insert gasp here).
I did get to watch something like this when I was speaking at different schools on drug and alcohol prevention. The kids didn't really seem into the news, though.
