how is everyone making their blogs so fancy and customized? i so do not know how to do this. i have technology envy. help.

If you don't like any of the google-pre-made templates, you can do a google search for "blogger templates - there are a TON of them and the vast majority of them are free. Then you just download them, or copy and paste them in your "customize" section of your blog. (There should be directions on the site, but if you don't understand - let me know and I can help.)
If you like the way a certain blogger's template looks, look at the bottom of their blog - chances are there will be a link as to where they downloaded their template and there might be another there you like.
As far as the blogger headers go - I just made myself one in photoshop and added it. I'm still using a regular 'ole blogger template. (I like the plain white.)

I wish I knew how to do this too! Last night I messed around with the color and font and that was about all I could do. (boring)
