i nearly spit my coffee out on this one.
as a college counselor, i'm somewhat a gatekeeper of information. on a parent form, the parents are asked to fill out the work experience for their student, as students OFTEN forget where/when/how much they worked their jobs.
THIS parent form said:
Chick-a-Fil, summer/fall 2005
Chick-a-Fil. hysterical.
(p.s. - what is Chick-Fil-A anyway?? odd name, but very tasty waffle fries)
UPDATE: i did some searching, and COULD NOT find the meaning of their name. they started out as The Dwarf House...but anyway, i emailed Chick-fil-A and hopefully they'll get back to me soon.

I would imagine it's a more marketable spelling/abbreviation of "chicken filet," their namesake menu item served on a tasty buttered bun with delicious pickles.
