i made an impulsive purchase today: a blender. something like the one in the picture - the Black and Decker Crushmaster.
1). this is a purchase that reminds me that i'm a full-fledged adult.
2). i'm pretty sure i don't own a blender, or do i? is it packed away somewhere? i have lived in so many places with so many roommates...i'm just not sure (before i use it, i will go through my kitchen to be sure)
3). my brother said, "if you'd get married, you could get one at your wedding." - my response, "at this rate, it'd be quicker to just buy the damn blender instead of wait for the man."

I got one when I was in college and the poor thing only really got used when all of us were drinking so it has seen better days.

First of all.... your brother's comment cracked me up. Second of all, I got a nice expensive one for a wedding gift and it sucked. So I went back to my old (fairly) cheapy stand-by. And I love that one.
I'm a big smoothie fan. But make a little pina colada while you are at it. You know, a pretty little cocktail.
