excited.

this weekend i am having two mini-reunions!
tomorrow i will see a friend/colleague whom I met last year (around this time) at a professional conference in FL. we shopped for 6 hours together, had a blast giving other conference attendees weird looks, and had an instant connection. I have ALMOST forgiven him for talking me out of a Miss Sixty jacket at their outlet store (it was like $30 on clearance and he told me "that won't fit into your suitcase" - which WAS the truth...but so what if it was July and 100 degrees, i swore i'd wear the coat - in all it's down-feather glory - on my person to get it home).

this weekend i will make a little 4.5 hour drive to Washington DC to see a friend from high school whom i haven't seen in 11 years. we became better friends while working our very first job together at Pizza Hut. we made EVERYTHING way more fun - like squirting 10 large pumps of oil into a large pan pizza dish. or making fun of our aqua-net laden boss who got fired for having "relations" with a subordinate on the make-table (where the pizzas were made - TRUE STORY). also, i haven't been to DC for 7 years, so i'm stoked.
