even though this looks like a picture of nan/indian bread...it is supposedly tofu according to google images. hmmm.
anyway, this week's kudos go out to tofu. i've never really given it a fair shake other than chopped up really small and disguised by condiments. i guess that this week's chance was not much different in that it was chopped up into cubes and WAS in a stir fry that included much flavoring, but you know.... i really liked it. a lot.
if you hate tofu, i get it. i really wasn't opposed to it before, but more so i was just indifferent. now, i think that i would like to learn new things to do with it and [perhaps] incorporate it into my rotation of dinner dishes.
any good tofu experiences/recipes that you'd like to share? or you can share a bad experience i guess.

I am glad you enjoy it, but I have no recipes for you.
Here is the thing, I have had tofu in some soups at Chinese restaurants and I don’t NOT like it but I just don’t like it either. Make sense?! I don’t care for it because it has NO taste what-so-ever….I can’t trust a food that doesn’t have a taste. (like zucchini – blech) Plus I totally hate the consistency. That is pretty much my only turn-off when it comes to food items. If it has a weird consistency or no taste I can not eat it. (yeah, I am weird)
wk - i hear you. i guess since tofu does take on the taste of what you cook it with, that is why i liked it in this stir fry - nice blend of spices, etc.
if weird textures bother you, then this has GOT to be one of the weirdest. i sort of like weird textures though so maybe this is why i liked my recent experience?
