i watched the movie The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas the other night and although i cried until i couldn't hardly breathe, it was a beautiful (and sad) movie. everyone should see it.
it's based on the book with the same title by John Boyne - he wrote the first draft of the book in 2.5 days and it has now sold over 5 million copies.
(apparently, the historical "correctness" of the book's plot has been widely criticized. i won't say anything more about that since i don't want to ruin the movie if you plan to see it)
