i watched the soloist last night (dvd). jamie foxx was pretty amazing, however robert downey junior was kind of weird in the movie. the movie has a really good feeling/message (it's based on a true story) and i did actually like it. without giving anything away, robert downey's character seemed unrealistically impatient and negative at times. i would recommend watching it though and it's not too depressing despite the "harsh reality" aspects of the movie.
i also rented the visitor and may watch it tonight. what's with me and renting movies with only 2 words - the first being "the".

Good to know, I want to see this as well but figured I needed to be in the right mood to see it.
