i've never been to Georgetown Cupcake. nope. but, Georgetown Cupcake entered my life this afternoon and i can tell that this little love affair is going to push me to extremes. such as hopping in my car on a saturday afternoon to drive 3.5 hours to get my hands on anything that is topped with their chocolate icing. i'd probably eat a piece of cardboard with their icing on it and be cool with it. this very sweet mother of one of my student's came down from DC today and brought 12 of these little pieces of heaven to me. i gave several of them away - forced them on people - and now have a few to haunt me from my kitchen. i've tasted a bit of the one topped with coconut and some topped with delicious chocolate. i'll stop now, but i should just say one more thing....
when people have gone on and on raving about stupid $5.00 cupcakes i'm like "who cares, give me some betty crocker" - boy, was i WRONG.
i stand corrected.
