let's talk greek yogurt

it seems like all the rage is for greek yogurt in its many forms and varieties these days.

they've got flavored, which sometimes tastes alright, but i need the greek-ness (read: sour) to be masked with some sweetness in order for it to not feel like i'm doing something medicinal for myself.

so, how do you use greek yogurt? i hear people use the plain kind in place of sour cream.

LET'S BE HONEST - it's flabberghasting to think that some form of dairy product can have 150 calories and NO FAT (NOOOOO FATTTTT) in a serving. that still blows my mind. and let's not talk about what a solid source of protein it is or my eyes will pop out. look at that nutrition label!! it just screams to be eaten 3x per day.

soon i'll be posting my Body By Oikos pics - maybe i should formulate the greek yogurt diet? i could be rich, rich, rich.

LOVE greek yogurt! mmmm....

I like to buy the plain kind, and top it with some honey. Okay, so I'm adding some sugar to it, but it's soooo yummy!

I also use it to make smoothies. Frozen fruit, greek yogurt, some truvia and maybe a little water, and my magic bullet!

I love it too! Sarah, I always think of you when I see greek yogurt because of your posting about it and telling us to put honey on it. I did that once and was like, WOW this is good.

Yoplait just came out with a greek style yogurt that I need to give a whirl.

We also love Greek yogurt at our house. We get the organic fruit on the bottom kind and have it for breakfast or with our lunch. Jenna requests yogurt for breakfast almost every day. I also put it on whole grain waffles with fruit. YUM! Stoneyfield just came out with chocolate and caramel greek yogurt. It is the perfect end to lunch for me - a healthy little treat.
