goodbye to summer

i started out summer 2010 with these 2 friends o' mine here in Sarasota, FL

and now i get to close it out with them back here in FL.

last night we saw the very talented Jack Johnson. he's a singer/performer but he's not an entertainer per se. in other words, it was the most mellow concert i've ever been to. i don't know if many of the attendees were stoned (we smelled a lot of pot), but it was sooooo mellow. in a good way. i mean who's going to go crazy to his melodic tunes?

we will hang out, hit up the beach if the weather ever clears up, and it will prove to be a smashing good time, as always.

random sidenote: these 2 friends above leave for a 6-week trip to Maldives and Europe very soon! it's been their dream for a looong time and GOOD for them for making it happen. they can also be found at various times of the year traveling to help with relief efforts in Haiti and teach orphans in Mexico to surf. they're pretty great.
