kudos of the week! (alternate title: count chocula, it's what's for dinner)

muuuahhhhahaaahahahaahaha!

i hate cooking for one. it's boring and i'm rarely motivated to put much of anything fancy together for dinner. period.

sometimes i just eat cereal, which i know married people sometimes do as well. us single people don't hog all the fun, i know. so when i saw the box of count chocula sitting on what is the downfall of my attempts at budgeting - the end caps at Target - i thought i'd go for it. i braced myself for the possibility that it would not be quite as delicious as i'd remembered (it has been years).

alllll the way home my thoughts darted between serious vocational matters, wondering if i would get my new backpack in the mail, and my count chocula.

and those vampire marshmallows did not disappoint. i even did the uncharacteristic drinking of the residual white-turned-chocolate-milk.

all in all, this was an experience i will look to repeat until my milk runs out. at which time i will let the cereal get stale, it will sit there for 3 weeks and i will replace it with another cereal of my youth (lucky charms, cookie crisp, cocoa pebbles and the like. either way, it's guaranteed to have freeze-dried marshmallows or fake chocolate, hopefully both).

Cereal. . . it is one of life's greatest pleasures isn't it? In fact, I'm eating some right at this moment. I love that your mind fluttered between serious vocational matters and your cereal. . . I don't feel so strange now. ;)

Oh, and a few weeks ago I enjoyed Lucky Charms for the first time in a long time. Love those marshmallows!

Cereal IS one of life's great pleasures. I agree with R.C.

Last night I had wheat special K. Do they have that in the States? (I'm sure they do.) I love it.

And LUCKY CHARMS are incredible.

I love cereal for dinner....or in the evening for a snack. So great!

But I am boring as I pretty much only eat Cheerios, Kix, corn flakes, mini-frosted wheats and when I am feeling crazy Peanut Butter Captain Crunch.

And I am going to admit this right here....I have NEVER had Count Chocula. gasp. I know. My husband loves it and all the others such as Boo-Berries. I had Lucky charms once, have never had fruity pebbles, cocoa pebbles were ok but the last time I had them was in college....basically the FIRST and LAST time I had any of those types of cereals was in college :(

My husband calls me a communist because I have never had a Big Mac or whopper, don’t eat fruit pies, and don’t like or haven't tried many of the fun fruity and chocolate cereals. I actually feel left out a bit, but I just have no interest and therefore do not eat them. I am very weird!
