i present to you my internet connectivity solution: the Verizon MiFi
i want to call it "Mee-Fee", but i think it's supposed to rhyme with Mai-Tai
my model is newer and a bit more up-t0-date and it is about the size of a small flip phone or pack of Orbit gum.
for $50 a month, i can take my wireless connection with me wherever i go. i got the plan that allows for 5 gigabytes of information and there are smaller plans. it's my understanding that as long as i'm not downloading a ton of movies online, i should be a-okay as far as usage, which you can track online.
is it a perfect solution? probably not. i just needed one fast. and the idea that i can take it wherever i go is awesome.
one more major pro: i got the actual device for free (not $269 dollars)
one down side: as with everything and Verizon, i had to sign up for a 2 year contract (which is 19 months in Verizon land)
happy blogging to me!

Hooray for a good solution. I was wondering how you were going to do the no-internet thing. l . I think that might push me over the edge.
(Just so you know. . . I will expecting an updated blog. No pressure, though.)
These are awesome. We have one through my husband's job and it comes in handy when traveling...or when we lose power.
I have never heard of these before but that seems like a great idea! We may have to look at that when my husband goes to school as he will need internet too. Very cool
