(i just heard a student say to another student as he was walking out of the bathroom: when i get stressed out, i flush the toilet and it calms me down." he may or may not have been kidding, but that is pretty hilarious either way)
about 4 times a year, i get the dirty job of administering ACT tests at my school. overall, it's not that bad (after it's done and behind you on a Saturday), but during these times i can be fairly productive while monitoring the test administration.
today, i have managed to clean/organize my whole office, clean up my email inbox and folders and search for several things online that i need for my personal life (including where the heck i am going to try and live when i move soon).
overall, a pretty successful gray/cold day in VA and i even managed to squeeze out a little blog post. granted, it is no literary work of genius, but i did it nonetheless. now, onto get all of my ACT forms sent away and onto a 2nd birthday for a set of twins. as my mom's keychain said when we were growing up - Twins Equal Twice the Love*
*that is probably not true. it should have said "twins equal twice the headaches of child-rearing"
P.S. - i hated the ACT in high school. i took it 5 times. i did get some scholarship money because of it, so that is good i suppose. but one time i was taking it and my right hand refused to hold the pencil - real story. and my twin, not able to offer twice the love while under testing conditions, was sitting next to me and i couldn't tell him since i would have been accused of cheating or whatever. so i suffered for a few minutes until my hand once again gripped the pencil. that was really weird.
