as you know, i work with teens at a boarding school on all things related for their next step as they launch into college. 'tis the time of year when housing forms, placement exams, orientation sign ups and the like are all flooding in. it's exciting yet nerve-wracking for them all at once. i mean, if they tell me they aren't even the slightest bit nervous, i call them liars. to their faces.
i found it comical when one of my students was looking for a roommate to pair up with (wouldn't that be horrifying to have that as your housing system - picking your own roommate in a way that mimics Match.com?!?) that all of the boys sounded the same.
this is what a handful say their interests are:

AND THIS WAS JUST A RUN-DOWN FROM THE FIRST PAGE!!! i suspect that the entire rest of the "matchings" would be similar?
and so i ask you, World Wide Web, what is with the teenage boys these days with their lacrosse, music, hanging out, working out and going out?!? do they all carry lacrosse sticks in their backpacks?
do they even carry back packs? perhaps they put their school supplies and books IN their lacrosse sticks as they head to class before heading out to da clubs?
ugh!!

Well, they won't have a problem finding a roommate. Lol. Lacrosse is the new soccer. The "cool" sport.
