how did i go from this just about 2 weeks ago to hectic, manic life in just the snap of a finger, it seems?
well, because i'm a grown-up, that's how.
there are a lot of things that i think sink in about adulthood several years after you are a working, self-sufficient adult. and the shock from REAL (completely away from work) vacation ending and reality setting in once again.
my vacation was highlighted by the following: spending some (not enough) fantastic time with Two Pretzels and her amazing family. this involved lots of smiles, lots of eating fake cupcakes with her daughter, Lila, and lots of flipping her Vivi from belly to back. Mrs. and Mr. Two Pretzels were (as always) incredibly hospitable and i miss them mucho.
the weather was beautiful, the food tasty, the friends and laughter....all memories to last a lifetime.
as Eddie Money says: i wanna go back, go back, and do it all over.....!!!
so, i finally got back to Ohio and drove to VA in order to move my stuff from storage in Danville, VA to my new place in Charlottesville, VA. i will take one class this summer (more to come on that) and am balancing full-time work with part-time school. i'm getting my 2nd masters in Higher Education from UVA and, although nervous about the workload, am excited about being a student again and SUPER excited about being in a new town. it was a long-time coming and i think this adjustment will take a few weeks for sure.
now blogger is acting funny about adding pictures, so i'm going to hit submit for now and will return to you as soon as possible.
how is it that i got ONE...count it...ONE...photo with my girl, K?? i miss you and the familia!

First, you both look BEAU-timous in that picture, and I'm so jealous, but so glad you got to have such wonderful, relaxing times together. :) Second -- cannot wait to hear how the classes and the work arrangement go!
I know life feels hectic, friend, but just remember: You are loved and supported ALL the way around. You have totally got this. In the bag. Got it.
Love you.
Glad you had fun in Cabo and with the B. family! (Envious!!)
And congrats on the move and good luck with school! That is awesome and even though things sound like they are crazy for you, it sounds like you have a lot of great stuff going on too! how exciting :)
