
this short 3.5 minute video clip (courtesy of TED talks - ever heard of them? i love them) was EXACTLY what my life (and my blog) needed - a little jump start. please take the 3 minutes to watch it...it's pure/simple and, well, provides a tiny kick to the seat of the pants....

it's not that my life is lacking inspiration lately. in fact, i feel like it's somewhat bursting at the seems with every hour/day planned out and full of work, life and what-nottery.
the thing about this video that got me was that he said that time didn't go so quickly when he had goals to accomplish in 30 days. i liked that he said he remembered those days way more distinctly.
and that is what i think my life is lacking. it's full of good things and good people and food and life and too much work.
but...
i have this nagging feeling always: are you living life to the fullest? i mostly think i am. but when i flip calendar pages, and the year 2000 turns into 2005 and then 2011. and my age keeps inching and inching along, i want to be sure that i am REMEMBERING things.
so, i think that i have 2 goals for this month - 1 for me and 1 for my blog. for my blog i'd like to add a photo a day. from either my iPhone or my real camera. i need to use my camera more often. for me, i'd like to set a fitness goal of some sort, but i'm not sure what yet. i've ALWAYS wanted to be That Person who did 100 crunches or 100 push-ups before my head hits the pillow at night. i'll finalize my fitness goal today.
so, in honor of the NaBloPoMo type of format - i challenge us to do something this month. whether you post about it or not, let's do this*
*lemme point out that i don't think i'm being original in this idea in any way, shape or form. i just needed a little motivation to do something challenging.

I like this idea...a lot.
I feel like I always say I am going to do certain things and then for whatever reason/s I don't follow through. I NEED motivation.
Good luck with this and on your goals. I am going to try to think of something I can do every day. I know one thing is a forget to write in my baby book regularly. I think it would be good to have a few minutes before bed, just me and the babe and write in the book. I also want to do something for me personally....I will be back and let you know!
