better late than never, my friend.

it was her special day to turn 33 last week (sherri is on the right)

sorry, friend that this is belated (as was my birthday text, as was your actual celebration - but it was totally worth the wait since i got to see you live, in person; thanks for taking the time out of your life and weekend to come allllll the way to see little old me. i was grateful from the bottom of my heart)

moving along. this woman (who should be a blogger...i digress), is a mother, a wife, a daughter, a friend, a sister, a teacher, a soon-to-be PhD-er and an incredible human.

however, these are just titles. they do not sum up who my lovely friend is, but she takes each role seriously and could easily be one of the best wives, mothers, sisters, teachers, friends or doctors any of us have ever known. she's just GOOD. period.

friend, i've always been grateful that you've led the way. you go before me and you clear a path that makes sense to me. somehow, you're the barely-older-than-me sister i never had. i have so many valuable memories of us together. and in each one, you are just present. present in spirit and conversation....like nothing else matters. and for that i will forever be admiring you and respecting you and treasuring you.

i love you and am so happy we celebrate your birth each year. now, go get a blog (yeah right, in your FREE time?!?!).
