i have no idea who will be more pleased - Running Chatter or myself - that i found a Google image of a version of a sunflower pillow...
well, today is the happiest kind of day since i get to stop and note the birth of a beautiful friend o' mine.
the only thing better would be celebrating this day in person rather than from afar, but such is life.
anyway, i believe that the best kind of friendships are the ones Summer and I have. you meet (and you may or may not remember the details of this first meeting) and you have NO earthly idea what your early conversations consisted of or what the heck you initially shared in common. none of these things matter; it only matters that you have cared for one another for a very long time and you know that whatever life brings you and wherever life takes you, your lifelong friends will be metaphorically by your side. and this girl is a figurative hand-holding kind of gal.
and let me point out that the nickname for my friend Summer - Sumo - pretty much sums this girl up. i mean, she couldn't be further from the physical stature of a sumo wrestler (lets' be clear). but her love and support of others, her zeal for life, her strength to keep moving forward are pretty much equal to the foot-poundings of those huge, sweaty wrestlers*.
Sumo - i love you a lot. i hope your celebration is wonderful and that this new year of life is fantastic. i celebrate you every day.
* she's not sweaty, either.
