dearest friend, kristy (aka - Quiet Oasis) - i will never forget the moment that you recall when you saw me for the first time - an OBNOXIOUS freshman (i beg to differ) in college, you the ever-mature junior. i have NO clue how we even started our friendship...oh, wait, was it that night at the Squirty Worm (ewww...gross)? Yep, the rest is history.

thank you for being the first big sister i never had. you shared your family with me and, during your senior year, you shared your dorm room. over the years, you have shared of yourself and given to me as a truly special friend.

we've been through joys, pains, ups and downs and even after so many years, you constantly come to mind. i sometimes smirk when i think of our memories and i sometimes crinkle my eyebrows when i realize that we hardly get to see each other any more - i hate that! know that the time we do spend is cherished. your the best kind of friend - like an old sweater that will never be given to Goodwill!!

friend, you're a great mother, daughter, sister, friend, wife, aunt and all those other hats you balance at any given time. thanks for being thoughtful and always cheering me on from the stands! i love you and wish you the best of birthdays and happy new years of life ever (no broken jaws or feet, please!).
