keep swimming, keep swimming....alternate title: i can't keep up.

the status of my life and keeping up with it is generally how i feel about fashion (jeans in particular): once i'm on board with the "trend" of the times, it changes.

for example, i'm just now (in the past 10 months) liking the fitted/skinny jeans look and have gotten over the idea that these jeans make my feet look like snow skis.

but...then i'm used to the style and, bam, it's back with 70's flare and high waists.

and WHAT is with the mid-riff?! i live in a college town now and i can tell you that the mid-riff is back in full force. the 80's are still going strong, too. i actually tried to sneak a camera phone pic the other day as this girl was sitting on a ledge with her french braid, Sally Jesse Raphael glasses, high-waisted short-shirts with flowery shirt tucked in and some sort of Keds sneakers.

welcome back, 1987, you were sorely missed. i digress...

the point is, i can't keep up. with school reading and my work inbox and tasks and the other inboxes and the junk in them. i'm just trying to keep swimming.

and this space should be more than just me stopping by to wish a happy birthday and then not get around to it until 2+ weeks later to vent about being swamped. silly little blog space.

something more exciting will be on the horizon, i think. maybe.

I wish I could get on to the skinny jean thing. . .I just can't. Maybe I'm too short? Who knows.

Anyway, always glad whenever you pop in and let us know you are alive.

Love you!!

You know, I just keep wearing the SAME style jeans I have worn for a very long time. Dark jeans with a bit of a flare/boot cut. Simple.

I may not always be in style, but I can't keep up with all the changes!!
