movie down-low.
i had no clue that a new Wes Anderson film was even coming down the pipe, let alone plan to go see it. but randomly last week i had time and a friend showed interest, so away we went. i think maybe half of the fun was that it was random and spontaneous and i didn't even know what the movie was about.
oh, and i had JUST seen Magic Mike the night before. um, yes, 2 movies in a row. and um, yes, the first of the week was all about male strippers. SIDE NOTE - let no one tell you that Magic Mike was "quality" in any way other than for looking at hot abs. period. end of story.
but, Moonrise Kingdom delivered. it was the typical artistic, beautiful filming of Wes Anderson (think Royal Tenenbaums) with the deadpan wit and humor. Bill Murray is starting to look really old (or, perhaps it was just that i had Channing Tatum's abs in my mind from the night before?!). Bruce Willis was an interesting surprise. the movie made me feel kind of sad at some points for some reason.
overall, super cute and worth watching. i really loved the 2 main characters.
enough said.

Yay for going to movies!
We use to go all the time and I think we have seen only 2 movies all year at the theater.
I have never heard of this movie! I may have to check it out on video.
A girl I work with went and saw Magic Mike and said it was a really good movie. I laughed and said I bet it was....but she was serious. hahah! oops!
Ok, awesome. I cannot wait to see this movie (I love Wes Anderson) and I also cannot wait to see Magic Mike on the other end of the spectrum.
