
i also happened to get talked into viewing Beowulf in 3-D this weekend. although Grendall, the monster, was absolutely disgusting (they did a great job depicting a slimy monster!) - the effects were to be commended. it was really cool to see a movie in 3-D and although i'm sure there is a decent amount of money that goes into such creations, it was awesome.
(side note - however special the effects were, the plot line was okay and some of the parts were absolutely cheesy)

I wanted to see The Nighmare before Christmas in 3-D!! I don't know if it is still in theaters...I hope so! I always thought a 3-D movie would be fun to see! Did you have to wear the glasses?
yeah, we had to wear the glasses which were hysterical. they are actually plastic like cheap sunglasses and REALLY large. i told my date he looked like a cartoon. later when he saw himself in the mirror with them, he commented on how horrible he looked! it was funny.
