ok, so i spoke too soon about the ease of getting home once my original flight was canceled.
i'm stuck in the Ft. Myers airport.
it sucks, but i'm fine.
i find it funny that i was here for over 2 hours and had not seen ONE single computer flipped open. so, until i saw someone else do it, i figured there was no internet...not many airports have complimentary wireless.
so.....folks....this IS the silver lining.
and if you're reading this and you believe in any sort of higher being, could you say a little prayer, light a candle, cross your fingers, bow to the east? i'm stuck here until someone misses the next full flight or the next full flight or the NEXT full flight...and then i'm stuck in Charlotte where the same routine will ensue.
i'd just like to get home at some point.

That stinks that you're stuck in the airport. I've been there before, on Christmas. Hopefully, you'll get out of there soon. In the meantime, consider the concept that, at this very moment, you are exactly where you are supposed to be.
At the moment, I would pay about $1000 to be stuck in an airport with no kids biting me, climbing on me... you get the picture.
But when you are there, yep, it does suck. That's the price you pay for getting to lay on the beach :)
I'm not sure Buddha or the candle will get you home. But God will. Best wishes!!!
(I hope when you do finally get on the plane, its a seat next to a hot guy!!!!)
