MIA

i have been MIA due to visiting some lovely friends in FL. one of my favorite spots in the world is Siesta Key beach....but that is for another post.

i'm sure many of you have heard about Skybus airlines claiming bankruptcy and shutting down this past weekend.

well....who do you suppose was one LUCKY passenger who traveled Skybus last week and was displaced by the fiasco. yep, me!

in a twist of events, Skybus shut down during the week that i was to fly home on their airline that i always sang praises of. psshhh. it all goes back to the old adage...when it's too good to be true, it probably is. i have 3 other flights that will now not happen and i had a close friend coming to see me next weekend (TRIP CANCELLED!) and on and on. oh well.

US Airways pulled through and gave me a $50 standby ticket and hopefully i won't be stuck in airports all day tomorrow. hopefully it will help that it's a tuesday morning and i'm flying from ft. myers to greensboro.
