Almost, but not quite....

(as an aside/preface...searching for a picture of an ear is quite disturbing. adult ears are VERY ugly close-up; a baby's ear is much less offensive)

why do people say "death" when they mean "deaf"?
recently a woman was talking to me about a man who was death in one ear. she referred to the death ear 3 times, and even said some joke about another man referring to him as "death, dumb and mute".
ummm....it's D-E-A-F!!!
all i could picture was a dead ear the whole time she was talking.

UGH. That's horrible.

I also hate it when people see "heighth" in stead of "height".

Upon taking a medical history I hear all sorts of things.
"I had prostrate cancer."
Uhh, you mean prostate?
"I have diabeetus."
Oh, wait that one was Wilford Brimley.
